PERSONAL DATA

1.1. The administrator of the Users’ personal data, being natural persons within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and the repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) is ELLA Language Sp. z o.o. headquartered at ul. Bernardyńska 16A/U1 in Warsaw, herein referred to as the Administrator. The Administrator processes the following personal data:

1.2. Your personal data will be processed to ensure access to the Website and will be relayed to other users in order to maintain financial records.

1.2.1 Your personal data, in the form of your name or nickname, will be processed for the purpose of displaying results on leaderboards and sending email notifications. This data will only be shared with other recipients to the extent necessary to fulfill these purposes.

1.3. Providing your email address is necessary to conclude the contract, should the email address not be provided, concluding the contract is not possible. Relaying any other data is necessary only if you wish to receive a receipt.

1.4. If the User received access to the platform from his employer or another third-party, the User agrees to relay to that company information concerning his progress on the platform (time spent learning, number of exercises completed, progress).

1.5. You have the right to:
  • demand from the Administrator access to your personal data, rectify, remove or restrict the processing of your personal data
  • object against your personal data processing
  • transfer your personal data
  • submit a complaint to the supervisory authority
  • rescind your consent to process your personal data

1.6. The Users’ personal data is processed by the Administrator in accordance with the provisions of the Act of May 10, 2018 concerning the protection of personal data and the Act of July 18, 2002 concerning the provision of services by electronic means, for the purpose of the provision of services by the Administrator and for marketing purposes related to the operation of the Administrator’s business. The User will not receive marketing and trade information, if the User does not grant consent. Providing one’s personal data is voluntary.

1.7. The Administrator guarantees the Users the rights resulting from the Personal Data Protection Act, including the right to access one’s own personal data and modify them, as well as the right to control the processing of one’s own personal data in line with the provisions of the Act.

1.8. Specifically, within the right to control the processing of one’s own personal data, the User has the right to request that the processing of their own personal data be ceased, and to object to the processing of personal data in case the Administrator intends to do so for marketing purposes or to transfer personal data to a data administrator other than the Administrator.

1.9. Based on the provisions of applicable law, Users’ personal data may be made available to subjects authorized to obtain such data, including judicial authorities.

1.10. The Users’ personal data is protected by the Administrator against any unauthorized access and other instances of disclosure or loss, and against destruction or unauthorized modification of the data and information by means of appropriate organizational, technical, and software security measures.

2.1. The Administrator uses cookies to ensure security and increase the effectiveness of the Website. Cookies are text files kept on the User’s device. Cookies allow the Website to recognize the User’s previous preferences. By using the Website the User agrees to the use of cookies by the Website. The User can change their cookies preferences at any time. Any restriction made by the User concerning the use of cookies may influence some of the Website’s functions.

2.3. 2.4. The Website uses cookies to:

a) to adjust the content of the Website’s individual sites to the User’s preferences and to optimize the use of the individual sites, in particular, cookies make it possible for the Website to recognize the User’s device and to display the site properly, in a manner adjusted to the User’s individual needs;

b) to create statistics that help understand how the Users use the sites, which allows for the improvement of the structure and content of the sites;

c) to store the User’s session (after logging in) so that the User does not have to enter their login and password on each of the sub-sites.
