Why? There are many reasons for this. First, <strong>its<\/strong> and <strong>it\u2019s<\/strong> are homophones, meaning they sound the same but have different meanings. Second, their spelling is very similar, with the only difference being an apostrophe. Third, the meaning of <strong>it\u2019s<\/strong> is often mistaken for <strong>its<\/strong> due to the use of the possessive apostrophe in English.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"margin-bottom: 10px;\">Its: Possessive Adjective<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Its<\/strong> is a possessive adjective, which shows ownership or belonging. This is why <strong>it\u2019s<\/strong> is often confused with <strong>its<\/strong>, which is used to show possession. However, <strong>it\u2019s<\/strong> cannot be used for possessive pronouns in English.
