You use i.e. when you want to explain something more clearly or give a more specific definition. It is used to restate or clarify what you just said.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some examples of how to use i.e.:<\/p>\n<div class=\"lineX\"><strong>She enjoys outdoor activities, i.e., things like hiking, camping, and biking.<\/strong><br \/>\nIn this case, i.e. is used to explain more clearly what outdoor activities she likes. It is used when you want to give some examples, but not all possible examples.<\/div>\n<div class=\"lineXp\"><strong>I.e.<\/strong> means that is or in other words.
